Dancing with Confidence - Live Life
How often do you hear a favourite song and your feet start to tap, and you want to dance to it? Our aim is to have you enjoy music and dancing again, just as you did when you were younger. These dance sessions are aimed at giving you the confidence to once again get up on a dance floor.
Time & Location
07 July 2023, 9:30 am – 10:30 am
Paddington Community Hall, 10 Moreton St, Paddington QLD 4064, Australia
About the event
The Active Aging Hub is very much committed to Dancing as one of its important activities for the benefits it offers its members. Research has shown that hand-motor coordination, fluid intelligence, short-term memory, and impulse control has a market increase with dancing. The big benefit was that posture and balance increased with dancing. That may be the result, but the experience can be so much fun with social interaction and meeting new friends. But this will be a new activity from the last 12 months, where the sessions will not be so formal and simpler to learn. AAH will strive to achieve an outcome that allows you to gain the confidence to go out dancing at local venues with your partner or friends and be eager to get up on the dance floor. There won't be restrictions this time for members joining a session. The cost will only be $10 per head. This is only an introductory session to introduce our intentions, but as we go, it will develop further.
